Processing and security of personal data
When you make a booking to stay at one of our campsites, we need certain information from you. In other cases as well, such as requests for information, the administration of competitions and visits to our websites, we process data. We also make use of third parties who receive certain personal data and process it on behalf of Lodge Holidays. This happens for example for the sending of brochures and mailings or the processing of our guest survey. In case of a booking your data will of course be shared with the campsite where you will be staying.
Below is a more detailed description of what data we can process and what we do with it:
What do we want to know from you?
First name, surname and gender
In order to be able to address you personally at the campsite as well as in our further communication, we would like to use your personal data. These are of course also necessary in order to be able to register your booking and enter your details in the night register.
Address and place of residence
We will send you most of the booking details by e-mail. But some information we send to your home address.
We may need to contact you about your booking. We will call you if there are any questions, and we can send you a text message if your lodge is available earlier. Sometimes we call before arrival or afterwards to ask if everything is clear and if everything has been to your liking.
Those who book accommodation with Lodge Holidays must be at least 18 years of age. In addition, tourist tax may depend on the age of the persons staying in the accommodation. That is why we need dates of birth. Should it be your or someone's birthday during your stay, we will try to think about that and maybe do something extra.
In order to pay for your booking, we use a secure payment environment. When you pay with iDeal or bank transfer, your details will be stored in our administration in order to link the payment to your booking. Furthermore, we only use your bank account number when you receive money back from us. When you pay by credit card, we send your credit card details from our secure environment directly to our credit card partner. They carry out our credit card payments. We will not see your credit card details. Our partner only tells us if your payment has been successful.
On the Internet, we may look at your IP address. We remember your preferences and can give you appropriate advice.
You will receive an e-mail about your reservation, invoice and bookings you have made. You will also receive newsletters by e-mail. If you prefer not to receive any more newsletters and offers, you can easily unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter.
We will also use your details for the following:
You can call, email and contact us via social media. To make sure your story has to be told twice, we store data. To make our service a little better every day, we analyse all contact moments. We also record phone calls to use as training material.
Campsites and partners
Your details will be passed on to the campsite where you are staying and to organisations that carry out activities in connection with your booking. This includes parties that are not part of the Lodge Holidays organisation.
You can receive newsletters and other offers from us. For their content, we may look at your interests and previous bookings and sometimes also at data from other companies. If you prefer not to receive newsletters and offers, you can always unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter. You can also let us know by sending a card to: Lodgeholidays B.V., department Guest Service, Friesestraatweg 215C 9743 AD Groningen or by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reviews and guest survey
You can help other guests with your review. By sharing experiences you can give others an even better view of Lodge Holidays or a specific campsite. The answers you give in our guest survey will be reviewed by us to further improve our service. In this context we can also share your answers and details with our campsites and partners such as cleaning service providers. You may also be contacted in response to a completed survey, for example to ask additional questions or to thank you for your feedback.
When staying at one of our campsites, you need to fill in a so-called night registration form. This can sometimes also be done digitally. The details of you and your travel company will be processed for the benefit of the municipality concerned, including in the event of calamities. The data can be processed in our systems.
