The capital city Zagreb, 80 km from the campsite, is a lively city with exciting museums and art galleries, as well as bustling cafés, shops and terraces. All this makes a day trip to this city worthwhile.

Plitvice Lakes National Park with its lakes (UNESCO world heritage site) is a must for nature lovers, the stunning natural beauty is overwhelming.

Enjoy yourself at the campsite

Start the day by strolling across the grounds past the romantic rustic wooden buildings to pick up some cheese and prosciutto from the campsite shop for lunch. This shop carries a good range of ecological products from the region.

Your walk continues along the lovely heated swimming pool (covered during inclement weather), to subsequently chill out on the wonderfully relaxed terrace for a cup of coffee and a traditional sweet treat in the sunshine. An enjoyable start to the day. Make a restaurant reservation for the evening. Your taste buds are already standing to attention from the memory of your last meal there; delectable authentic local dishes.

Recharge your batteries by taking a brisk walk along one of the countless paths that run through the lush surroundings, enjoy a swim, or those who desire more action and sports can go canoeing in one of the surrounding rivers.

Other options include fishing, sailing and rafting. Finish the day in relaxed mode on the lovely large terrace at the lodge by piling more wood onto the little fire and allowing the silence to envelop you as the evening draws in.
