Processing and security of personal data

When you make a booking to stay at one of our campsites, we need certain information from you. We also process data in other cases, such as information requests, the administration of prize draws, for example, and visits to our websites.

In doing so, we also work with third parties who receive certain personal data and process it on behalf of Lodge Holidays. This happens, for example, for sending brochures and mailings or processing our guest survey. In the case of a booking, your data is of course shared with the campsite where you will be staying.

What do we want to know from you?

First and last name and gender

To be able to address you personally, both on the campsite and in our further communication, we like to use your personal details. These are, of course, also needed to register your booking and to include the details in the guest register.

Address and place of residence

We send most of your booking details to you by email. But we send some information to your home address.

Phone number

We may need to contact you about your booking. We may call if we have any questions, and could, for example, send you a text message if your lodge becomes available earlier. We sometimes call before arrival or afterwards to ask whether everything was clear and whether everything was to your satisfaction.

Dates of birth

Anyone booking accommodation with Lodge Holidays must be at least 18 years old. In addition, tourist tax may depend on the age of the people staying in the accommodation. Should you or someone in your travel party have a birthday during your stay, we try to keep that in mind and may do something a little extra.

Payment details

We use a secure payment environment to process your booking payment. When you pay by iDEAL or bank transfer, your details are stored in our administration so that the payment can be linked to your booking. We also only use your bank account number when you receive money back from us.

When you pay by credit card, we send your credit card details directly from our secure environment to our credit card partner. We do not see your credit card details ourselves.

IP address

Online, we may look at your IP address. We remember your preferences so that we can give you suitable advice.

Email address

You will receive an email about your reservation, invoice and any bookings you have made. You will also receive newsletters by email. If you would prefer not to receive newsletters and offers any more, you can easily unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter.

Guest service

You can call us, email us and reach us via social media. To ensure you don't have to tell your story twice, we store information. To make our service a little better every day, we analyse all contact moments.

Campsites and partners

Your details are passed on to the campsite where you are staying and to organisations that carry out activities related to your booking. This also includes parties that are not part of the Lodge Holidays organisation.

Newsletters

You can receive newsletters and other offers from us. If you would prefer not to receive newsletters and offers any more, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the newsletter. You can also let us know by sending an email to info@lodgeholidays.nl.

Reviews and guest survey

You can help other guests with your review. By sharing your experiences, you give others an even better picture of Lodge Holidays or a specific campsite. We look at the answers you give in our guest survey to further improve our service.

Tailored advice

If you visit our website, make a booking with us or stay at one of our campsites, we remember what you like. We also use your data to improve our service and websites. Where legally required, Lodge Holidays will ask for your consent before providing your data to third parties.

Retention periods

We will keep your personal data for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this document. However, based on legislation, among other things, it may be necessary for us to keep data for longer.

Data security

We use extensive security procedures for the protection of personal data we process, including to prevent unauthorised persons from gaining access to this data.

Contact, access and complaints

On request, we will tell you whether we process personal data about you. You may also, under certain circumstances, request access to, correct, supplement, delete or restrict this data.

Should you have a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data, you can also contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Lodge Holidays and third parties use cookies to analyse websites, make them more user-friendly, enable social media and show you relevant offers on and off the website. By using the site, you agree to this.

Which third parties place cookies?

Lodge Holidays works with third parties in the fields of social media, visitor statistics, advertising and streaming video. Including: Google (Analytics, Maps, Ads), Bing and Facebook.

Can you remove cookies?

You can always remove cookies from your device via your browser. You can also decide for yourself whether you want to accept cookies. Turning off cookies may limit your use of our website.
